H. Spence Jackson, Chairman & Founder

Mr. Jackson is the founder and CEO of Metanoia Technologies, a semiconductor provider of complete communications solutions for xDSL markets. Prior to Movero and Metanoia, Mr. Jackson was the founder, Chairman and CEO of SigmaTel, a leading provider of semiconductor solutions for the audio and mixed signal markets. Mr. Jackson served in these roles from the inception of SigmaTel until 2001, where the company succeeded in reaching $50M in revenue, and received various awards in the semiconductor industry. SigmaTel became a public company in 2003 on the NASDAQ, and has exceeded $1B in market cap since their IPO.

Prior to Mr. Jackson's entrepreneurial endeavors, he was successful in technical development and management of engineering projects at Motorola and AMD in the field of analog design for mixed signal products. Mr. Jackson holds18 patents for semiconductor inventions, and holds an MSEE and BSEE from the University of Texas at Austin.

Melanie Gray, President and CEO

Melanie Gray is president and CEO of Movero Technology. With more than 15 years of leadership experience, Melanie brings a broad base of financial, marketing and management talents to her role.

She is responsible for the company's day-to-day operations and the overall leadership and direction of Movero.

Howard Smith, Managing Director of First Analysis


Howard Smith is a managing director coordinating investment and research in the information technology sector. At First Analysis, he’s built several information technology research franchises, including computer telephony, call center products, computer security, and Internet infrastructure.

His work has been cited for excellence by the Wall Street Journal and other publications. He’s provided strategic advice to numerous technology companies in capital raising and buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, and as a board member.

Prior to joining First Analysis in 1994, he was a senior tax consultant with Arthur Andersen & Co. He earned an MBA from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a certified public accountant.

 

David T. Orlandella, Managing Director of Enhanced Capital Partners, LLC

David is a Managing Director for Enhanced Capital and is responsible for overseeing investment activity in the Western United States. He is a member of the firm's Investment Committee and splits his time between the Austin and Denver offices.

David brings more than 17 years of experience in venture capital, corporate finance, and strategic consulting. He has managed numerous private equity investments and developed operational strategies encompassing acquisitions, divestitures, and the development of new business.

Prior to joining Enhanced Capital, he was Managing Director at Redwood Ventures a $300 million private equity fund bringing together top executives from the telecommunications industry. At Redwood, he was responsible for investments in telecommunications technologies related to wireless and data services.

Prior Redwood, David was Executive Director at US West Communications, Inc. managing voice and data strategies as well as investments for the company’s $100 million venture fund. While at US West, he also worked with the company’s divisions to develop various new business ventures related to expansion of its wireless and data strategies.

Prior to US West, he served as Director at KPMG Baymark and previously at Coopers & Lybrand where he provided corporate finance, investment banking and business consulting services for companies involved in mergers and acquisitions, private placements and recapitalizations.

David serves on the Board of Directors of Wireless Channels, Movero Technology, HealthTalent, and Fitness Together. He graduated from Bates College with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics with a minor in Mathematics. He is a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (“TiE”) and assists with University of Denver and University of Texas programs for the development of entrepreneurs regarding venture capital and business finance.
