AUSTIN, Texas – March 23, 2009 – Movero
Technology, a leading provider of managed IT services for enterprise
mobility, today announced that it has co-sponsored the newly released
Aberdeen Group analyst research report on enterprise mobility. The benchmark
report entitled, “More Mobility – Less Budget: Enterprise
Strategies in the Current Economic Downturn” reveals that companies
continue to maintain or increase their level of mobility support, with
best-in-class companies increasing their mobility budgets year-over-year
as a percentage of total IT spend by 27.4 percent, demonstrating the
importance of mobility in delivering greater productivity and workforce
effectiveness.
“We are continuing to see a rapid uptake in mobility initiatives
across a broad range of industries,” said Melanie Gray, CEO at
Movero. “From healthcare to higher education to even large automotive
dealership networks, it is increasingly rare to find an organization
that doesn’t have some level of mobility initiative in place today.”
The study details how best-in-class companies that are performing in the top 20 percent across multiple metrics, have found additional efficiencies through consolidating central device management. This, combined with outsourcing to highly specialized companies, such as Movero that provide a complete suite of mobile IT services including device procurement, staging and logistics, invoice and expense management, over-the-air device management and 24 x 7 certified mobility support.
“Aberdeen’s research supports Movero’s belief that the strategic importance of mobility will continue to increase as the global workforce shifts to a younger, more technology-savvy demographic,” commented John Smolucha, vice president of marketing at Movero. “As the total cost of owning and supporting mobile devices continues to increase, organizations must adopt a more strategic approach to managing mobility. Given our domain expertise, combined with our innovative software-as-a-service technology platform, Movero is uniquely positioned to help organizations leverage mobility to achieve key business goals while simultaneously reducing operating costs. ”
